Micro Blogging with Twitter

Posted by Pixelhead

I was just doing a bit of research and came upon a blog post about Micro Blogging and Twitter. Your Guide to Micro-Blogging and Twitter has lots of information about using Twitter including mash-up links, competitors, and a Twitter glossary with definitions of the Twitter Lingo.

I checked out one of the Mash-ups, Twittervision, which shows were Tweets(a Twitter post) originated by using a map that moves according to were the Twitter is located. I was a bit surprised to see that two of my tweets originated in Germany. They might need to tweak the twittering mash-up a bit.

How can Twitter be used by real bloggers?

Just a few things I have learned in my short time using Twitter.

Got any other Twittering suggestions?
Update:
Other Twitter posts to include mine and others:

1. The Google Juice of Twitter post.

2. Cristian’s Twitter : a way of advertising post.

Got a Twitter post, let me know.

I just came here via StumbleUpon. And as it happens today I wrote a lengthy blog post on the subject of what one can do with Twitter: http://www.the-deblog.com/2007/07/why-twitter-is-.html You might like some of the ideas.

Great Twitter post Debra…love your blog as well…I am envious of anyone with a blog that uses the whole screen.
Do you find that you make a lot of contacts using Twitter?

Thanks for coming by, Adam, and for the nice comments. I have historically spent way too much time on the appearance of my sites. And recently I did a revamp of the deblog and a bunch of other sites as well. Cleaned everything out, made the font larger. This was (as often happens) the direct result of my making a new site (in this case TwitterLit.com) that I liked the look of, and wanting to incorporate what I’d learned into the old sites. It’s a sickness. But I’m happy with it now. Of course, I’ve said that before….

By the way, I was trying to subscribe to your RSS feed earlier but couldn’t find one for the whole site. I know you have all those category feeds available right in the sidebar. But what’s the feed address for everything?

Well, in trying to spread the word about TwitterLit on Twitter, I’ve also let people know about some older literary sites of mine. So, for example, I’ve been able to introduce my BAFAB Site (buyafriendabook.com) to a large new audience via Twitter. A lot more people have heard of it now than would have in the pre-Twitter days. Which is great.

Its a good sickness to have, one I should try to catch.

Oh the Pixelhead feed url is http://feeds.feedburner.com/MyOnlineWorldArticles

It is way down at the bottom, thanks for letting me know you could not find it, I will have to move it up closer to the top.

If you would like to build buzz, please feel free to submit some review articles of your projects…how about an interview on Peoplized? Care to be interviewed?
