Join the “I Reply” Movement

Posted by Pixelhead

I had come across the blog Me and My Drum the other day and learned about the “I Reply Movement” in the post Join the iReply MovementiReply Movement. Then this morning I came across the BrownBaron’s blog that discussed the movement as well. So I guess that is telling me I need to join.

So what this movement is about, from what I gather, is to tell others that this is in the words of Mark at Me and My Drum, “an interactive place and that you encourage discussion”. I will do my best to respond to all comments, and will allow visitors to converse with each other. However, please be nice.

So now I have another badge to place in my side bar…gotta get two sidebars.

So visit the two sites mentioned above and join in the movement.

Update: I was just informed that Mike of Ordinary Folk was the creator of the iReply Badge. He also has a post about badges for the ladies.Ladies Badge

Hey Adam, thanks for spreading the word! So far it has gotten off to a great start with bloggers posting the logo to their blogs. We just thought it was time to remind bloggers that it’s not about “build it and they will come” rather, “build it and they will come and expect to see someone at home.” :)

Thanks again!

Thanks Mark. I am always at home so to speak. However, I guess I need to be a little more active in both my commenting and my marketing. Kind of fits in nicely with my previous post.
Thanks for brainstorming and keep up the great posting…looking forward to reading more of your blog.

Oh, and we’d better not forget to mention our other partner in crime, Mike of Ordinary Folk. He’s the artist responsible for creating the logo.

That it is. Hope you would be part of the movement, and add it to Everydayweekender.com. Oh, sorry I am late, but hope your Canada Day was awesome.
I will hopefully have a safe and enjoyable fourth here in PA.

Sounds like a good concept. I might implement this myself.

I think the ireply movement was a good idea, but I have commented on numerous blogs that are part of this movement only to find that they are NOT replying.

I do try and visit blogs of those who leave comments, but if it is hectic day, I may be a little delayed. Spam comments or short ones are usually not followed if I have a tremendous amount of comments to reply too. But in the end, I do like the idea, and do believe I have seen a lot of traffic from participating in the “I reply” movement.

I opened up the comments on my croatia travel site, and it seems to be attracting more people to join the discussion. So I might just be a big fan of do-follow. It seems easy enough to manage. At least so far.
