Posted by Pixelhead

I was on TodayisTheDay.com and found Aaron’s contest he is running to help promote a new project, PersonalDevelopmentPartners.com (PDP),which was just launched the other day. Check out Aaron’s post about the contest, to find out what you can do to help make PersonalDevleopmentPartners.com a success and potentially win an ipod or some other cool stuff.PDP Screenshot

What can You do on PDP?

  1. After creating a free account, you can take part in the discussion or ask questions about Personal Development issues.
  2. Introduce yourself and your blog.
  3. Find some really great resources. In one of the forum threads I found a the great site The3Alchemists.com, where I read about the principle of manifesting.

The site being brand spanking new, will be adding lots of new features. Currently, it has four membership categories:Free, premium, Junior Thought Leader, and Senior Thought Leader. Currently, they are haveing a special membership discount where the Premium membership is currently being offered at a 50% discount for the membership drive that is being undergone during the first month.

So check out PDP,sign up for a free account today, and be part of what is sure to be a tremendously positive social networking community.

Adam,

Wow – you really went above and beyond the call of duty with this post. Thank you so much for your help! I appreciate the bonus endorsement of The 3 Alchemists, too – that’s awesome!!

I have already added a bunch of new features to PDP that weren’t in place when I first posted about the contest, and the site is SO much better already!

I’ve been coding updates to the site today, and I’m about to head over there to check out all of the latest members and conversations.

Thanks again for your support, Adam – it is very much appreciated! I’ve got you down for your entries into the contest, and I even gave you 10 bonus points because you put so much heart into this post and into building up the value of PDP. That is exactly the kind of exposure that the site needs! :)

You should probably edit your title so that it says “promote” instead of “pormote” ;-)

Derek, thanks for the heads up. I am a notoriously bad speller. I actually got noticed by Dave Barry for one of my misspellings, which I received a ton of traffic from it though.

Hey Adam,

Just a quick FYI, I have one more week left in my iPod Shuffle contest. I’ll be writing about Aaron’s this Sunday though.

Thanks for letting me know Alex, I’ll take a look and see if I can post about it as well. Good luck to all the participants in both contests.

I find contests like this exceptionally hard to win, but they are cool none the less… From the few mini contests I’ve tried to hold I’ve found them hard to moderate as well but I guess it’s easier with a system like PDP

DeMerchant,

Yes, the PDP software program itself is bearing part of the burden of counting the things that people get credited for. I am keeping track of the rest manually with an Excel spreadsheet.

So far it has been very easy keeping track of everything, and several people are really starting to rack up points by participating at the site and referring new members.

If there is anything that I am having trouble keeping up with, it’s welcoming the new members to the site. Every time I turn around I’m getting another email telling me that a new user has come on board. :)

Yes, I think the 3Alchemists is a pretty cool site too. The idea of Manifesting is very impressive.
