$4000 dollar Contest and Ipod Contest

Since posting about the PersonalDevelopmentPartners.com Contest, I have become aware of several other contests. Two great contests that offer a lot more than some sweet prizes.

Could you use Any of the 4000 dollars worth of Prizes?

The first, contest I found when I was on SmartWealthyrich.com and Jon was telling us about this Huge blogging contest being run on DavidAirey.com, celebrating David’s graphic design blog’s first amazing Anniversary.

I was checking out David’s site, and I have to say I was very impressed with his work. I seriously hope I win the Logo design prize that is up as one the prizes, because David is a really talented graphic designer. If you need any kind of marketing materials for your business designed, stop by David’s site and check out his design portfolio.

But not only is David giving away a custom designed Logo, but he has gotten a ton of other prizes donated by some other amazing bloggers to help David celebrate his anniversary. Some of the tremendous prizes include but are not limited to:

$60 of books from Amazon courtesy of Darren Rowse of ProBlogger, got to love that, that would make a nice stocking stuffer for Christmas.

Personal marketing / advertising plan from Maki of Dosh Dosh. Maki is an expert at blog marketing, so any advice from him is well worth it.
Custom WordPress theme design from Nate Whitehill of Nate Whitehill dot Com. Love the look of Nates blog, it is so open and spacious.
Another Logo / blog header design, but this one from from Jonathan-C. Phillips of Smart Wealthy Rich. How sweet would it be to have a Logo design that looks like Freelancefolder or SMWR.
Revolution Premium WordPress theme package (personal package) from WordPress designer and consultant, Brian Gardner. This is a great theme that was even reviewed by John Chow.

The Second Contest I became aware of when Alex of AlexShalman.com dropped me a comment on the previous PDP contest post. Alex’s Personal Development Contest, which is ending on Sunday, is giving away an Ipod Shuffle. It is a really easy contest to enter, so check out Alex’s post and to enter. The great thing about Alex’s contest besides the Ipod, is that he has a tremendous list of other Personal Development sites, which is the main reason he is having the contest to show support for all the other Personal Development sites out there. Check it out the huge list and enter the contest, but hurry it ends Sunday.

UPDATE: Alex’s contest is ending on September 27th and not the 23rd. So there is a little more time to enter.

I’ve had enough of contests for now. They just seem to be getting bigger and bigger. All I want is a Nintendo DS or $100 or even a DVD. Simple stuff pleases me more.

David Airey’s is probably the biggest that I have seen. He’s got a lot of high-profile people involved as well.

I’ve seen some contest on blogs that needed to get notified by pingback.
Can someone help me on this? I am using wordpress 2.1.2

Vincent, first of all, glad you added the blog to your site, and it looks great…it has a nice clean look.
The pingback or trackback url can be found by one of two ways, a lot of blogs it can just be clicking on the title of the post, and then grabbing the url in the address bar. Some blogs have a link either at the bottom or top of the post for it.
When you write a post on your blog and include a link to the post you are referring, use the trackback url, and the post will receive automatic notification that you wrote about the post.
For instance, a blog that I had been responsible(no longer a client) for is having a Halloween contest. I will be doing them a favor today, and writing a little blurb about it, and including the trackback. This will also serve to notify them that I indeed did write about it, and will also be my entry. Bloggers are just so clever.
