The pingback or trackback url can be found by one of two ways, a lot of blogs it can just be clicking on the title of the post, and then grabbing the url in the address bar. Some blogs have a link either at the bottom or top of the post for it. When you write a post on your blog and include a link to the post you are referring, use the trackback url, and the post will receive automatic notification that you wrote about the post. For instance, a blog that I had been responsible(no longer a client) for is having a <a href="http://screamdream.wordpress.com/2007/09/22/win-50-in-the-dreamascream-halloween-costume-giveaway/" rel="nofollow">Halloween contest</a>. I will be doing them a favor today, and writing a little blurb about it, and including the trackback. This will also serve to notify them that I indeed did write about it, and will also be my entry.
