Late Abuse Post

Posted by Pixelhead

This is my late Blogging against abuse post which was a blogging event that was held by BlogCatalog.com. Yesterday 1000+ bloggers from around the globe were blogging about various facets of abuse. As Jon from SWR said in his post Blogging Against Abuseyesterday, that is why it was such a great event because it was able to be tailored to each blog so that the blog was able to stay on topic.

One of my Blogging against abuse posts was about Animal/pet abuse. Check the first link on this post or click on the image to the left to see a lot of great abuse posts from participating blogs.
Abuse topics included but were not limited to Child abuse, domestic abuse, pet/animal abuse, and political abuse.
This blog, still does not have a well specified topic. Although I do tend to have more posts about marketing to be specific SEO, than other topics. I guess that could be considered a cornerstone post.

What I really want to blog about is the abuse of time. I and lots of other people seem to abuse the time we have on this Earth. It is only so long, because as we all know, we are not eternal. Hopefully my words will be around forever, but I am doubtful if I will write anything so profound that it will be around for the ages. So in order to stop wasting or abusing time, I am going to put this blog on to a blogging schedule. I will have a specified type of post to do on each day of the week. Sundays no posting will be done unless I decide to do one for fun.

Pixelheadonline Blogging Schedule

This is what I have so far. Got any idea or suggestions?

It is good that as a blog owner you have opportunities to raise awareness and give back to society in a way like this.

I think for some that it is good to have a schedule. I blog when I have something to say which is often. lol

Joseph, I think events like that are great for encouraging awareness about abuse issues. I found lots of great blogs from the event by checking the Blogcatalog event page.

Rose, I am not the best at following a schedule, but I am going to give it a shot. At best it will give me a bit of guidance as to what I need to work on. For example for today, if I go according to the schedule I need to write about games. Maybe today I will do one on my daughters favorites Club Penguin and Webkinz.

That blogging event sounds wonderful and it’s great that so many people are blogging against abuse, no matter what kind. Awareness is a terrific thing and I think this is wonderful. Knowledge is power.

Indeed it is power. I am still wondering what the total number of bloggers involved in the event came out too.

It feels good to be a part something that big. In time, more and more voices will make a difference.

Good to see someone else is planning long term. I wonder will you be able to keep up with the schedule. I decided to stick with mine and so far I’m successful about it.

I have been meaning to put myself on a blogging schedule for some time, and now that the blog is a year old, it seems like the thing to do.
Yes we shall see, even as a teacher, I had a really hard time sticking to a schedule, but it does help to have a schedule to come back to when you get off track. I’ll have to make a blogging schedule page or something so I can refer to it more quickly.

Yep, I’ve got the old “paper on wall thing” doing great job for me. Now I’ve come to the point of being able to level my blog to a serious, long lasting investment.

Yes, I wonder exactly how many blogs actually participated. I think it was a lot. It seemed like anytime I went onto the Blogcatalog site that day, I had to reload the pages several times to load the pages.

Perhaps it is a lot, especially since I have not posted since the 28th of September. I think of the schedule as a guideline, kind of like the Pirates Code in Pirates of the Caribbean.

That’s a good idea, blogging about or against abuse of time. Many people take time for granted, choosing to be late at school or work, putting off things that can be done today, not sticking to schedules.

And more or less a thousand people blogging against abuse? That’s a lot!

Time management is a great place for us to work on improving. I was actually just reading AlexShalmans current post that deals with the topic of Time Management. It has some really awesome tips for staying on track.
