2000+ Flickr Pics

Posted by Pixelhead

Tin Penguin: 2000th Flickr PicThe other day I posted my 2000th Flickr pic which ended up being the tin penguin you see to the left. Lizzie and her friend, who is acting as our Real Estate Staging Professional, were out shopping for staging props, and this little guy was one of the finds.

2000 pictures on Flickr just seems like some sort of milestone that I should remember in some way. I know that I did not mark my 1000th picture, and really don’t want to try and find out, because the only way I know of finding out is by counting back through all those pages.

Currently, I have 2024 pictures and 42 different sets of pictures. All of my pictures together have recieved 6,692 page views.

I have been selected!
In addition to my 2000th Flickr pic, I was also informed that three of my pics were selected to be in the fourth edition of the Schmap Philadelphia Guide:

  1. A picture of art work in the Philadelphia Convention Center .
  2. A shot of a Marathon Grill in Philadelphia.
  3. A shot of the top of a Cuba Libre, a restaurant/club in the art district.

Since the majority of my pics are travel related, I guess it was a matter of time until some of them were picked up by a travel site.

Where are your photos?

Stop in and check out all 2000 of my pics(just kidding). Well take a look at a few and let me know if you find any you like. Do you have a Flickr account or pictures hosted somewhere else? Let me know, I’ll try and check them out.

Flickr related posts:(will add to this list as I find good Flickr posts)

2,000 Flickr photos is quite a feet. I imagine you upload all your images there as a repository, not just to share with the world…or maybe you do. Considering the disc space I’m using on my digital photography collection, maybe I should do the same.

…cute bird :)

Sammy – Yea I actually just bought an External 750Gig Hard drive to store all my files on because they were bogging my machine down something fierce.
I don’t post all my pictures on Flickr, just any that are half-way decent, or any that I may want to blog about eventually.
In addition to sharing pictures with family and friends, and hosting my pics for blogging. As quite a few of my Flickr pages are cached, and any links on those picture pages do have a little bit of Google juice.

Oh, nice pictures by the way, I have not heard of dealers using Flickr before. Very interesting auto dealer lense you have as well.

That’s a lot of pictures! I don’t have flickr account yet but someday I’ll get around to it.

That’s definitely an accomplishment; I probably have about a tenth that number published…

Having grown up in Connecticut, I really enjoyed your Maine photos. I’ve been through Portland a few times, and on a few vacations to itty bitty little towns no one has ever heard of; apart from just being really nice eye candy, they bring back a flood of memories. And just capture the general sense of the North Atlantic pretty well. You can almost see the history dripping out of “Margaret Todd.”

Steven – Its a nice pretty groovy site, and one that I am sure you would benefit from tremendously if just for the contacts alone.

Forrest – Having been born in Maine, I actually had never toured much of it. But Lizzie my wife was going stir crazy at all my relatives places, and cruising down the coast sounded like a good thing to do. Bar Harbor and Acadia National park are great places to visit, and have ample photography opportunities.

Wow, 2000 photos? I’m totally on the other side of the line. I can’t take a photo in 99% of the time when I have my camera with me.

Guess my DNA is wrapped the wrong way ;)

This is going to sound horrible … but I’ve never been to Acadia. I almost feel negligent saying that. New England isn’t small by any means, but I still had enough opportunity and never checked the place out. It’s the northeast’s only national park, too… Anyway, those are my favorites. ;-)

Magic Dude – I don’t have any quality pictures like Forest. But I keep trying and maybe one or two will be sweet. Just get a camera and start clicking and making some memories.
Forrest – Even though it has been photographed plenty already, I also think there is plenty of opportunity there to get off the beaten path to get some unique pics as well.
Cadillac Mt was way too cool…going to have to go back and visit with my mountain bike…

I looked at  some of the photos. There are too many photos to view all.
I do like them, and if you are not a photographer you should be.

Biturls – I am not sure I have the eye, time, skill, and the equipment to be a true photographer like the top commentator for Mid Nov, Forrest. Forrest has some really sweet shots that I can really appreciate and admire.
