WOW- SMR Blog For Sale

Posted by Pixelhead

Smartwealthyrich.com is for sale . Wow, that is truly a great site for many reasons. The selling of it does make sense. Jon being as talented as he is, has many projects to keep him busy, and he just does not have the time to devote to SWR.

Jon, who I have learned a lot from, is a great individual that has the ability to create interest with his writing. SWR has some pretty impressive stats, and I am sure he will get a nice amount for it.

One commentator on the post suggested that Jon make SWR a multi author blog. I think he ought to do a joint venture with some other bloggers and use it as a mufti- author blog. Perhaps he could sell limited partnerships to the blog were individuals could buy limited shares, be able to share in the revenue.

At any rate, I am sure Jon will continue blogging on his personal blog as well as Freelancefolder.com, his newest multi-author blog.

Time has always been a factor hindering us from accomplishing something. If there was more than 24 hours in a day, i would get more sleep definitely :)

That’s a good blog, too bad I will not be able to buy it :)
The price must be expensive.

SWR is a great site, but I understand that Jon wants to dedicate his time elsewhere. His new mutli-author blog, FreelanceFolder looks really promising.

Tommy- I wish I could as well. I believe the person or group that buys it, should really have a plan for it. Hey maybe we can go in on it together.

Malignition- Freelancefolder is really doing well, and from all the sites that Jon has been helping out, I seems like his services are in demand.

I actually think selling off a valuable piece of Internet real estate is a bad move. Perhaps he could sell off shares of it, but remain a controlling share holder and still receive a residual income from the real estate that he has developed. Would be nice if it worked that way.

I have recently thought about selling my smoothie blog and then I ventured over to ebay to see how domain sales were going over there and boy was I shocked. Most of the prices were ludicrous and the domain names were a joke. I have seen that sitepoint.com has domains for full working sites for sale as well. So, of course, after looking to see how much I could sell Smoothie Web for I got hooked and started looking for more domains to buy. ;-)

I don’t get the idea of buying established blogs. Yes, you buy PageRank, authority and a readers’ circle. But it is the author’s personality and writing that was behind the success of the blog. You can’t buy it, so you will lose those readers unless you can ensure the same level of the content quality.

Axel, there is huge market for buying and then reselling of websites. Much like the flipping of houses, the flipping of Internet Real Estate can be quite lucrative.

Why are they trying to sell it? It’s really a good blog with around 500 rss readers.

If it’s a good blog, I think it should continue and provide more value to others. Is it that the owner have no interest in this topic anymore?

My blog mentor used to teach me how to estimate a blog’s income- each rss readers represent $1 per month. If the blog have 500 rss reders, it might be making $500 per month.
