It's nice to see that there are lots of people are concern in preserving the environment. How I wish we could live in a pollution-free environment. But with our present situation, almost have bad effects in our environment, even in our health. Let's help in saving our environment for a better future.

Sendev, I am glad you liked the post and got something out of the articles.

Jalaj, yea I love the aquaBouy idea as well. I think we all need to conserve more natural resources and use the renewable ones in greater quantities.

The two pics are very nice, wish I could get their high resolution versions. MyMileMarker.com seems to be a very good service but since I have for sometime discontinued using my vehicle and use public transportation, I have little use for it, but fact remains that it's very essential to optimally use the natural resources.

AquaBuoy is a very good concept and reminds us that we still have many resources to get electricity from.

Hi,

I am really happy to see a few interesting environmental news posts on your pixelheadonline. The plastic ocean article made me want to read twice. I am really worried about the NATURE's gift being plundered by the man.

What a depressing article ... the 'plastic ocean' makes me think of that 1970s (?) commercial with the lone tear falling down the man's face. I've never crossed an ocean, and without a TV, my idea of what the sea is supposed to be like seems to be a little out of date.

We've been through a lot and keep struggling: a cold war, nuclear proliferation, AIDS. As the sky gets noticeably browner, we see freak storms, more powerful wildfires ( supposedly because a hotter desert dries out the sage brush, turning it to kindling ) and more ... I personally find this a lot more terrifying than, well, international terrorism.

I've been doing what I can, personally, to have less of a negative impact. I have to admit I get pretty greedy with the pleasure travel, but I'm flattered at the idea any of my photos might inspire anyone to realize why preservation is so important.
