This is a cool contest . . . reminds me of a competition the BBC had at the turn of the century: It was for a “favorite sound.” Everyone has theirs (sound or landscape), but it’s fun to look at those of others.

Hey Pixelhead, i have to agree this is a great contest. I like the picture you nominated, its simply beautiful in every artistic sense. Watching those buildings reflect off the water is so special.

I love all the colors and the reflections on the water are amazing, they almost look painted.

Tgeo, I am sure some editing must have taken place with it. I know my Canon S5 lets me filter out certain colors which should make other colors stick out that much more.

I love the way Flickr lets people comment on certain parts of a photo ( “nice reflections” and “great filter” ).

It’s a gorgeous night scape you’ve found … looking around there’s some stiff competition. It’s always nice when you can’t pick a favorite.

The colorful light reflection on a serene river stream it’s quite appropriate of the holidays season. Nice night urban scape picture!

I seem to agree with your pick. It is certainly the most different from the pack as normally landscapes and seascapes would try to evoke a more serene and peaceful vibe. This one evokes a bright and festive feeling on my part. Love the colors!

Wow, great pic, love the bright colors with the night background. I am trying to get a little better at my night photography by watching videos online at Howcast http://www.howcast.com/categories/21-Photography-Techniques and need a few other online resources. Any suggestions??
