It’s a perfect idea and to think I only just heard about this from reading your blog post. I think I’ll implement it into my blog shortly, I’ll read a bit more about it. I’m still a little indecisive.

Holly, SezWho allows users full control over their profile and a way to fully opt out…Also when a user participates in a public forum like this one, we try to provide context on the participants…of course users can change their information if they don’t want to be identified but if the user information is changed then the community knows that this is a new user and they can weight the comment appropriately…

Pixelhead, We require users to identify themselves in order to leave a comment (currently using email address, we are working on a more secure login based identification approach)…This allows us to weigh the ratings based on the reputation of the user…This approach makes a digg like attach harder.

You very well might be there already. Visit the Blogcatalog post above and make a comment to see your if your email profile has already been logged.
You could also use different emails for different types of comments. If you wanted to develop a political type profile have an email for those types of comments.

You can also chose to hide comments if you don’t want others to see them.
