Eye-Fi Media Card Review

Posted by Pixelhead

I just watched this Eye-Fi Media card review video of the new eye-fi media card. It looks pretty cool. Take a look and see what you think. I still have not updated so I can’t post videos, so if you click on the pic, you’ll be taken to Masto’s video page on Viddler. Please come back and let me know what you think.
Eye-Fi Media Card Review

The Eye-Fi media card looks pretty cool. A few draw backs include the camera’s power needs to be on while it sends the picture to the Eye-fi site, which will then update your computer when it is received. It also does not go out and join wifi networks were ever you may be, it needs to be configured for various networks. Still its pretty cool, as Masto states, its amazing what they can get into that little card.

Oh if anyone wants to take on the task of upgrading Pixelheadonline, leave a comment with your fees and contact info.

I believe the chips can be used with PC’s as well since the chip actually sends info to a website that sends notifications to your computer.

That would make more sense. I don’t know why I would think this company would limit the number of potential buyers.

Thanks

If you had an Internet card such as Nextels Wireless adapter card this might give you a much larger area to transmit your pictures. These types of Internet connections are usually much slower, so I am not exactly sure how long it would take to send the pictures to the site.
