Environmental Post for March 2008
Posted by Pixelhead
- Want a Green Job? Csesky , a Stumbleupon friend, sent me this site to check out, which is a pretty cool list of places to look for an environmentally related job.
- Check out a post on David Airey’s new site LogoDesignLove.com where he doles out Logo Design Awards for Environmental Blogs.
- From a Future Travel article, I learned about some possible travel
options that may occur in the future, many of which seem to be environmentally friendly. My favorite is the Verdier Solar powered VW camper van.
From Stumbleupon
I joined the Environment Stumbleupon group, and will include at least one link from that group or Stumbleupon in general every month.
- An old article about recycling Pee.
- Trashing Our Oceans,a GreenPeace article which is very similar to the Plastic Ocean article.
From Hugg
- I found another travel related article which told about the use of Skysails for pulling ships. A 12,000 mile trial was completed where a cargo ship used a kite like Skysail to offset its fuel consumption. It managed to save up to $1000 in fuel costs per day using the sail. Sounds like the 160 square meter sailing kite would pay for itself in a very short time.
- An In-Depth Look at Clean Sewage Tech which is an area of technological development that we really should be concerned with as water becomes more and more of a precious commodity.
Well that is it for this months environment post. Sorry its a little lite on the resources. I promise I’ll make up for it next month.
Got any environment posts or resources to include next month?
