Singer Island Vacation

Posted by Pixelhead

As of 830am yesterday morning, we were bound for Singer Island for a short little trip. Last year when we attended the Learning Expo in Philadelphia, we got roped into doing a time share sales meeting in exchange for a week(4 nights/five days) at a number of Marriott’s Vacation properties. Most certainly, we will not be buying into a time share. This is primarily due to the fact that we have all our funds currently tied up in the purchase of a new home, and secondly, we don’t like the idea of going to the same location or being regulated to a limited number of locations that time shares would offer us.

Singer Island Beach

Our last time share experience was when we were in Puerto Rico at the Gran Melia. Gran Melia was putting in some seriously sweet bungalows. We had actually put money down on a vacation package, but by the end of our Puerto Rico Honeymoon, we had buyers remorse and backed out of the deal. It was a pretty good experience though, as we got a nice massage package and a bottle of wine for listening to the sales pitch.

For the rest of the week we will be soaking up the sun and cruising in our Spyder convertible around the Singer Island, Palm Beach and the surrounding communities. I will be blogging on our travel blog and on Thegrubhound, our restaurant review blog, during the trip, and concentrating on ranking for “Singer Island”, “Marriott’s Ocean Pointe”, “Singer Island Hotel”, and “Singer Island Dining” to name a few.Hope everyone has a great week. I’ll try not to have too much fun!

Your video skills are really improving. The quality is much better than the first. Have fun on your trip!

My video skills have a long way to go. The quality of the video with my Canon S5 is much better than my webcam. If you want to see some really bad videos I have done, check out Thegrubhound.

Wow.. I’m envious .. have fun on your vacation …

I also did that timeshare deal the last time I vacationed in Florida just because it’s cheaper to get a great room. I don’t mind the requirement to listen to the sales pitch because I know I won’t be swayed to buy at all. Enjoy! :)

I’m just curious as to your motivation to make videos. Is it for your blogs? Just for fun?

I just got into making videos. I own two Sony HD camcorders. I am at about intermediate level for skills. My biggest thing is getting a second internet connection to place on my second computer. The software required for movie making takes up too much of my main computer’s space.

Free Casinos, I mainly do it for the blogging. I also like recording the memories. My video skills really are pretty bad though.

I have never heard of Singer Island but it looks absolutely gorgeous! I suggest Aruba for your next vacation. There is no worries about hurricanes or bad weather which is why its called “the happy island”. Also, my wife and I bought a timeshare from las Vegas which we will be using for Aruba this fall unless of course I buy more into this Singer Island spot. However if you finally decide to get a timeshare, i suggest you do the Las Vegas one or somewhere that is considered high peak property. This makes it easier to trade off your timeshares as everyone at anytime of the year always want to go to Vegas. Plus the property is brand new and beautiful!

Thank picture looks amazing. I’m going to do some traveling in the next year. I’m starting in Argentina and moving around the South America for a couple of months teaching english. I was looking to new ideas for a place to go afterwards and saw this pic. I’ll look up Singer Island. Sounds like fun. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve never gone to singer island but if its like any other island it costs a lot of money to not only go there but also for food hotel etc. Thats why I choose bigger islands which are almost not island like Oahu and Hawaii. It is not as secluded but it keeps costs down and the whole family happy.

Man this is one place that I want to go before I die and I surely will. I really liked the picture.

I think people tend to forget there are so many beautiful places left to see and that they should not stick to going to the same place again and again.

Yes, Singer Island was nice…but there are so many wonderful beaches to see..I agree going to the same place again and again builds memories, but you don’t get to explore the newness.

If anyone’s been to Hawaii (the Honolulu area to be specific), you’ve probably noticed the streets are already crawling with prostitutes after 11PM.

Singer Island is the next barrier island above Palm Beach – sharing the Palm Beach inlet ….Other attractions in the county include a drive-through safari, a zoo, science museum, boat rides and citrus grove trolley rides…

You might be a little ambitious trying to compete for singer island and singer island hotel, heavy competition for both phrases.
