Save Some Trees for the Squirrels

Posted by Pixelhead

After yesterdays World Ocean Day post, I was back on the 41pounds.org blog and found this great Treeless Squirrel video post.

Treeless Squirrel says, “Plant trees, please.”

The mission of 41pounds.org is to reduce the amount of paper that is wasted on junk mail, thereby saving trees. When you sign up for their services, a third of the 41 dollars goes to charities that you select. Several of the charities, actually will plant a tree for you if they are selected to receive the donation.

Why not sign up for their services?

Thanks for sharing that, unfortunately charity groups don’t get enough publicity for their causes. I’m sure more people would help if they were educated and informed of groups just like this one.

I did not comment on your last post but this follow up video certainly got my attention.

All I could say is that awareness really is the key. :)

I found the video hilarious, but yet it made you really think. Could have done without the squirrel toenails, though. :)

This sets me off on another endangered species. Just like the squirrels running out of habitat, the ubiquitous sparrows are also disappearing fast in many parts of the world. More trees and less incursion into their domain will certainly help.

I have tried so many times to get my names off of catalogs and various mailing lists. It just never seems to work. I will have to look into these services, maybe they can get them stopped for me. Plus I can feel good that I helped house some squirrels!

Wet squirrel hair in the sink . . . Ewwwwh! It does get the point across in a pretty funny way though.

Besides planting new trees, we must also stop tree cutting…The poor squirrel babies will lost their house and get hurted.

Funny video. It does run a bit too long tough. Having said that, it’s good to know that more and more people are concerned about deforestation. I’ve been doing my share to help the environment for a long time now by not throwing away used writing paper that only has something written on one side and use the clean side as a scratch paper, or even cut them up to a smaller size and make little notepads out of them.

That actually does sound like a great service. I checked out their site and I think they do a fantastic job marketing themselves. And forget about saving the trees for squirrels, we need to do it for ourselves!

Yes, I agree with you as squirrels can’t live without trees and even not only for them even for the environment safety we need to save trees and then only we can have many kinds of animals and birds can have there lives if not we have to loose many breeds.

The video was so sweet in the start, but ended on a sad note! I’m personally a nature lover and usually plant at least 10-12 saplings a year.

This is a good way to help conserve nature. Thanks for the link. We should remember we share the earth with other creatures who deserve to live just as much as we do.

Why? Squirrels are annoying.
