Do Follow Blog Search Engine for Link Building

Posted by Pixelhead

I know I have been getting a lot of traffic due to being a Do Follow blog, and I also know that a lot of marketers are using Do Follow blogs for SEO purposes. If you do, please leave great comments that add to the conversation, and I would also suggest installing and operating a blog of your own that is connected to your site if it is an e-commerce site.

Several days ago, in my Mybloglog statistics I noticed several hits from DoFollowDiver, which turns out to be a “Do Follow” blog search engine. Funny thing, not to long ago, I made a comment somewhere that someone should come up with a search engine for Do Follow blogs. Low and behold here it is.

The Link Building Bible’s Do Follow Search Engine not only finds Do Follow blogs, but it also has the ability to search for blogs that use some other Wordpress pluggins such as CommentLuv. Pretty cool.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

In addition to the DoFollowDiver Search Engine tool, LinkBuildingBible has some pretty cool posts about Link Building.

So how do you use the DoFollowDiver?

Your blog probably has a theme and you want to network with a certain type of niche blog, you would type in your keywords that you want to be found for, and blogs that  could be potential networking partners will appear in the SERP’s. Pretty cool huh.

Warning Warning Warning Will Robinson

Don’t spam these blogs with “nice blog I totally agree with what you are saying” type comments, leave good comments, that seek to add to the community.

I myself, give kudos to the DoFollowDiver for their application of Google technology.

What do you think about using Do Follow blogs and the DoFollowDiver for marketing purposes?

That’s just about the coolest thing I’ve seen all day. Thanks so much for sharing – I’ve been looking for good blogs to network with for a while now. Google’s blog search generates a million irrelevant blogs – This site is actually helpful!

Obviously, I think that DoFollow Diver is the best thing to ever come to the internet! Well, okay, maybe not…

I think my most favorite and least favorite thing about DoFOllow Diver is the same thing: the fact that it is hand-edited. As the owner, this is a pain to continually search for dofollow blogs, and to make sure that all of the blogs are indded dofollow. On the other hand, it’s great for the users of dofollow diver because they can always get dofollow blogs…

when creating dofollow diver, I went through many of the popular dofollow blog lists, and many of them had tons of nofollow blogs on them… that was frustrating, leading to confirming my belief that dofolow diver needs to be hand edited at all costs!

Glad you enjoy, and that it drove you some hopefully useful traffic.

I could not agree more. It is a good policy to have but with the proviso that you should seek and encourage good comments not just the “good Post” kind of stuff. Shall look into the dofollowdiver and see what happens. It is about time that this happened.

I’ve seen a few search engines for follow blogs, but this is the first good one. Most have been filters for Google’s mainline search engine … they just don’t seem so accurate, at least from my little corner of the world. I tend to do a search for photography, and, finally, I’m getting results that interest me! ( This one isn’t perfect, though; PixelHeadOnline isn’t mentioned on the first page for a photography search. )

For some reason it kept timing out. I will try it again later tonight. I really have doubts about how powerful a comment backlink really is. Of course I am not an expert.

This is so, so ironic. Here’s the first ironic thing; one, I did find this blog through LinkBuildingBible’s search engine. Second, I’m pretty good friend’s with the creator of LinkBuildingBible. It’s become a very successful blog, and I can see the creator’s even getting some love from blogs within his search engine. Awesome!

Forrest, I really should do some link building using the keyword “photography blog”, but that wouldn’t be accurate. I need to get some great photographers such as yourself to do some posting about photography first. Should get the content first…I really hate going to a site that ranks for a term, and has nothing to do with the topic.

Paul, I am just glad someone took the initiative to create it. It also sounds like the tool is a lot of work to maintain properly.

Thanks DSHot.

Melvin, if you have a website, just by being online, you are going to get links pointing to your site. If you are really active, its not going to hurt you, unless of course you are going out and spamming sites for links or using an automated program to get hundreds or thousands of links in a short period of time. The key is to make your link building look natural so as not to send up and red flags.

Once I got a spam comment: “But then again, the opposite could be true.”

Who new spammers read wittgenstein?

I imagine you could have a lot of fun as a spammer. How about:

or

“Sure, you say that now!”

I confess to being new to all of this…and worry a bit about the “big picture” are we all just backlinking to each other? is it all “noise signifying nothing?” Is it just the same as the music companies’ way of just throwing as much stuff at a wall ans seeing what sticks?

It’s a really good idea to add follow links to comments, I did this on my blog when I first started and I got a lot of readers commenting just because of it. I did find that my page rank struggled to get above 3 though, then when I removed it, it went up to 4…so hard to say how much it affects your page rank, the page rank of my site has since dropped back down to 3, so it is hard to say if the follow links were affecting it too much.

Thanks for sharing that with us. I was searching for a search engine like that.

I think commenting on other blogs is a good marketing technique for your own website. With that you are not only building links to your site you also can learn a lot from the posts as long as you read them.

What I do is I use onlywire.com to bookmark the Do Follow blogs. With that I can give some links in return.

I follow a lot of dofollow blogs, and comment on them as well. Only of course, when I think I have something important to add. My thoughts are, that there are far more blogs out there I could read and contribute to then I will ever have the time to fit in. So, why not just contribute to the ones that give a little something back to me. We both get something out of it. I made my blog a doFollow, but haven’t really promoted it that way yet. Maybe the Diver search engine is the way to do that. Thanks.

I think do follow is good for both the blog owner and the person leaving the comment. The problem I keep hitting is that blogs claiming to be dofollow turn out to be nofollow so some tighter regulation is needed.

Linkbuildingbible has some good advice on that – keep up the good work and consider installing commentluv and keywordluv also

I am seeing more and more do-follow blogs and do-follow blog resources. I think people are starting to understand how do-follow fits in with today’s Web 2.0 social community building.

Dofollowdiver is pretty cool, I’ll have to add it to my do-follow resource list.

I have started a do-follow blog directory to help “do-followers” get more exposure to their blogs. You can find the directory link on my blog :-)

Making your blog a dofollow is a win win for both blogger and commentator. The blog becomes very interactive attracting lots of comments, therefore, traffic. Google loves highly interactive sites. With the new wp plug ins commentluv and keywordluv, backlinks become more valuable. For commentluv, the latest post or a selected one gets exposure and with keywordluv, links are keyword focused.
The downside is dofollows are exposed to spammers. A simple captcha plug in can arrest this.

The problem with do-follow is people will spam. If a blog is good enough then the blog owner won’t need to have do-follow because people will comment to put their point of view accross, not to gain a back link.

The BBC is a perfect example of this. There are no links in the forums and blogs, yet they have many users.

However, when a blog is starting and it wants to get a upper hand, their is no harm in attracting people who want do-follow links, because some will become hooked, so even if you change to no-follow, people will still comment.

I give props to do follow blog owners. I believe it to be a good form of marketing for website owners. I do know that with do follow blog ownership comes a bit of spam. It’s all in the natural website existence cycle of internet based rules and algorithms.

The do follow blog owner realizes this, but still allows his blog to be do follow non the less. Maybe even if it is just to help the little guys. And for this, I give all do follow blog owners extreme props and gratitude. thank you.

Most of the blog owner are not aware that their blog is no follow. They should change the attribute to ‘do follow’. Making a good comment related to the article on a do follow blog is very helpful in getting you a backlink.
