This year alone i had to upgrade wordpress atleast 3 timesm, the task becomes daunting when a bunch of your favourite plugins or themes stop working

I upgraded my wordpress but didn’t run into any of these issues. I will keep my eye on it next time though

If you changed the link structure (friendly URL settings), you may want to redirect the old URL to the new URL so Google knows where the pages moved to (which helps with Google traffic). There might be a WordPress plugin for this. Otherwise, search for “301 Redirect” to learn how.

Frank, have you ever tried the automatic wordpress update plugin? I’ve been using it for the last 5 or 6 upgrades (ln at least 10 different blogs) and it has worked perfectly every single time.

I have no problem installing WP 2.7 even with Comment Relish plugin. I’m not sure what the problem is. Hope your blog problem is solved now. Enjoy your holidays
