Review of Goals for 2009

4 days into the New Year and I have yet to post my resolutions or goals post. Lets see how about a quick review of the Goals for 2009 before I do a Goals for 2010 post.

Goals from 2009, How Did I Do?

1. Attend church regularly and read the Bible on a daily basis.We did attend church regularly, I am in several Bible studies every week, so I have been reading the Bible quite a bit. I however did not read the Bible every day.
2. Pray daily. I also did not pray every day..prayed more often than not.
3. Increase our tithing to well over 15%. Tithing was at a little bit above 10%..will work on that one a bit more..
4. Double our business income..Our income was actually a bit less than the previous year…we have increased our number of clients, and our accounts payable is higher than it has ever been...recession..need I say more.
5. Develop and implement our SEO training program with new Baldydog staff..Training program is still in the works..we do have new staff, but the training program needs work…our processes are quite a bit more developed though..
6. Rebuild Baldydog.com using WordPress as the CMS...Baldydog.com did get a redesign(yea), but did not use WordPress as the CMS.
7. Write at least 1 blog per week here on Pixelheadonline..blog writing on this blog has dropped considerably, and often more than a week would go by before posting again..
8. Physical exercise 3-4 times per week..Physical exercise..lol..
9. 1 outing per month with my kids individually...I was pretty good about the outings with kids and wife.
10. Take at least quarterly vacations with my wife...I am not sure if we went on quarterly vacations, we did take a few, but did not do quarterly vacations.

How Where Your Goals for 2009?

I may not have met all of my goals from last year, but I think that I did a lot better than I would have done had I not set goals in the first place. My next post will be the actuall goals for 2010. I encourage you to write a similar post, and then drop the link to your 2010 goals post here.

I have just set a one plan till now that try to offer prayer daily basis. Being a Muslim we need to offer the pray 5 times the day. And I often miss the morning time, could not wake up early in the morning.

Hey Pixelhead,

Looks like you did pretty good with yours, mine were out the window by summer and I had to go in a completely new direction in business and personally.

It is all working out, and my site(s) are doing great so I am happy overall. I did set new goals for 2010 and hope to achieve them.

(I didn’t read my bible everyday nor did I go to church as much as I should have)

I am going to cook more at home rather than go out to eat. I have also decided to exercise more this year too. I want to purchase my first home this year and the last goal for 2010 is to be the best Paul I can be and try to make the world a little better everyday.

I like the fact that alot of your goals are family oriented. Its always great to see people put much consideration into family. Btw BaldyDog looks very nice.

I think it’s great that you keep yourself accountable. As for me, I set aside Sunday night from 7PM- 9PM to do what I call a “personal reboot.” I take that time to review all my goals and my progress or missteps along the way. That keeps me from letting my goals get away from me, and to hold myself accountable.

I’ve also found that sharing my goals with others gives me a lot of motivation to not mess up!

First of all a belated Happy and Successful New Year to you and your family.

It seems like you still did pretty good, even while this worldwide not the best looking economical situation.
For my part I need to say the year 2009 really wasn’t one of the best years in my life ever. More the opposite. I lost my job and in my age it’s pretty hard to find a new job. We had to take quite a bit of a cut in our income and this only a few months after we bought our home.
But well, Chin up and let’s go through it is what we thought and so we came up with the idea of me getting started with an online business, my shop for Home & Garden Decor and Accents.
Any traffic is very welcome
Now we hope all the work and time and money we are investing in it will hopefully pay off someday. It’s just not so easy to get it going with a very small budget and being pretty unexperienced when it comes to internet marketing. Still, we have set our goals for 2010 and we hope they will come true, in personal as well as in business subjects.

Anyway dear pixelhead, may God Bless you and your Family and may the year 2010 become a better year for all of us.

Have you thought about adding client profitability as a goal along with business revenue? In the end you want revenue, but it should be profitable, or you should be on the road to profitability.

Keith, try not to beat yourself up over not reading or attending..he is pretty forgiving..I am sure you will do much better than had you not set your goals at all.
