Online Legal Directory , which is one of our oldest niche directories is for sale. Well its not the oldest, but the domain is almost a decade old. It had actually been used by someone else prior to our registering the domain.

Who would want to buy a Legal Niche Directory?

An SEO or online marketing company that specializes in law firm marketing, and believe me there are a ton of them. Legal SEO, is a really profitable niche of SEO to specialize. I would specialize in it, but I would rather focus on restaurant or travel SEO.

I have been making calls, and I have discovered that many of these types of marketing companies have a huge portfolio of legal sites that they can use for link building.

Online Legal Directory Stats

Domain Age – 9 yrs and 5 months at this writing

Backlinks -231 ..not many, and the links are not very diverse..needs a lot of work.

The site needs a lot of development..actually I would recommend scrapping it and starting over.

I did install a legal directory blog on it, but I only did one post, and never got to develop it.

It currently is a paid directory that only accepts very few listings. It actually spammed by the bots very frequently..at least I get notifications about 10 times a day that a Russian website has been submitted..too bad they are not a paying legal company.

I wish you well with the sale of this blog as it looks like an interesting niche to get into if not already in it. With the current global financial situation, there will be a lot more need for more solicitors/lawyers to wind companies up as best as possible. The only ones to benefit from this financial crises is banks and lawyers!

A 9 year old domain with 200+ backlinks is pretty good man. I bet someone could get a ton of links to if they posted some great content.

Domain age is so important today and I can see this website is over 9 years old. That should really boost its value.

Interesting!! I agree the site needs some more backlink building. I own a couple of Mesothelioma Blogs, so know that the legal area can indeed make good money for niche sites ($65 a click on some terms!). I’ll consider this site!

Domain name age is so important that today I see this website is more than 9 years old. It should increase its value. Good luck and sales!

Having a 9-year old with 231 backlinks is good enough as a requirement of a good niche but still it requires link building to increase its search engine popularity. I have to bookmarked your site and think if I’ll be interested on it.

It’s showing as PR0 to me, so while it does have quite a lot of age, it won’t give the new owner much of a boost in the SERPS IMHO.

This seems an awesome blog, anyone who has some SEO knowledge to boost this and the directory could really increase some traffic. 9 year old domain is pretty awesome also!

if someone launches a directory focusing on health only, then the directory in question will only list health related sites. This head directory will then be considered as a health niche directory where health site owners can submit their site to get a relevant backlinks. Considering the fact that it is the quality and relevancy of the backlink that matters most to Google, link building with niche directory submission seem to be a good approach.

I’ve read some articles recently stating that the age of the directory and its benefit has gone but I think there is still room for good quality directories.

According to my SEOMOZ toolbar, it says it has 78 different domains linking, which is less, although to be fair is still quite a number if you were to try and gain the links manually from scratch.
PR0 too, according to google page rank?

What kind of ballpark price were you looking for, just out of interest?
