I also discovered the sites blog, All poker sites blog via a link to the post about the New Laws governing online gambling in the US, which makes it seem like online poker and online gambling in general is about to go through a transition due to the passage of some pork barrel legislation. Trying to control online poker via legislation is one of the stupidest, wasteful things the idiots in Washington can do. If you want to do something, end a war or find a cure for a disease, or try to place some regulations on the online gaming industry that has lured our children in for countless hours of wasteful online gaming at a time. Many a teenager spends more time in these virtual online gaming communities such as World of War Craft, Kingdom of Loathing, or Everquest, than doing school work…could this be a reason that China produces 10X the number of Engineers than the US? If an industry ever needed regulating, the online gaming industry which preys upon our vulnerable teenagers is just such an industry. Should these games not have a time limit that each juvenile player is aloud to play per day? Parental Controls should exist, and be readily available only to the parents.

Sorry for the digression…returning to the subject of this post, All-Poker-Sites.com the online poker site review site. Online gambling, and online poker sites provide a service that apparently was and is needed or it would not be such a successful endeavor. The US Gamblers will find a way to get their online gambling needs met…legally or illegally. Not that I have ever gambled online, it is not and will not be one of my chosen past times, but far be it from me to tell tax paying adults what to do with their free time. While it is still legal in the US, please stop by and read up on some online poker sites and make a more informed choice about which poker site to visit to play poker online.

Inspite of being down graded from the West Wing to the MGM Grand Tower due to prejudicial treatment of nonsmokers at the MGM Grand, we would still recommend the MGM Grand while staying in Las Vegas. We discovered there was a difference in the prices, and brought it to the attention of the front desk. They were not willing to credit our account the difference, but they did give us a $75 comp at the hotel restaurants. We are still a little disgruntled, because we really were looking forward to staying in the West Wing, but the complimentary restaurant cuisine was a nice comprimise. We also found the MGM Casino to be very pleasant while throwing our money away in their slots. We did that in other casinos to include the Sarhara, New York New York, Alladin, Paris, and the Monte Carlo. The MGM casino however, is quite large, with quite a large selection of games to play to include both table games and machines. Lizzie loved the slot machines that allowed her to gamble for a car. I was partial to the Black Jack machines. I also played several tables, but my luck was not with me this time. I guess that is why they call it gambling.

The first time in Vegas, we stayed at the Sahara. The Sahara is one of the oldest Casino-Hotels on the strip. The rooms are a bit older compared to the other Hotels such as the MGM or the Monte Carlo. But two things that I love about the Sahara are the machines that actually pay out in coins and the three dollar Black Jack tables. The first time we gambled there I made out pretty good. This past time though, I was able to break even.  I had wanted to make it back for some more gaming, but was unable to make the trip on the tram. The Sahara is the last stop on the tram. Another cool thing about the Sahara is The Drive, which is a new race car park where you can drive two cars around the two Sahara’s race tracks that take up 11 acres. For ten dollars you can drive two cars. Cars are either sports cars like Corvettes or BMW’s or the off road type such as Hummers and Jeeps.  Perhaps on our next trip.

We did do some slots last night, and this morning, but no tables. We will hopefully be getting some black jack in today. We might also be getting some poker in tonight. Going to see the Blue Man Group has also been mentioned.

Pixelhead and Lizzie Bean will be taking a short trip to Las Vegas. I am hoping to have some blog worthy stories to post. I also was looking for sponsorship for the trip, but I started a little too late. Well, I will have to get set for next years Vegas trip, since we(Lizzie and I) would like Vegas to be an annual trip.

We will be staying at the MGM Grand West Wing and flying in on Southwest Airlines. Lizzie booked the vacation on the Southwest website. She had tried to book via Hotels.com and Travelocity.com, but Southwest had the better packages. Details of the vacation will be forthcoming. Hopefully we will have no problems.
