My Online World - Title Change

Posted by Pixelhead

I just changed the title of the blog, not exactly sure if it was the right title..if you have any suggestions let me know.

My reason for doing this is pretty simple. My Online World has no keywords in it, so it seems like I do a lot of writing about SEO and Link Building, so why not put those terms in the title. As you know, the title is pretty important SEO real estate, so why not optimize it.

Got any suggestions for the Pixelheadonline blog title?

I would go with something more along the lines of digitaldynasty.com. It sounds catchy.

I would take out “AND OTHER TIPS” and instead use something like:

Linkbuilding Strategies and Search Engine Optimization at Pixelhead

Quick, to the point, and get your keywords in there early.

Of course, my website does not follow the same guidelines for naming, since I’m trying to brand my site. It’s a tradeoff right - keywords at the beginning, or branding at the beginning? For your purposes since you are interested in SEO, I think keywords may be the way to go.

I would put te “My Online World” to the end of the title as it is the least important of the words you are targeting

oh oops - wasn’t looking correctly - I see you have done that!I like the new title as far as the meta goes - I’m not sure it fits with the design of the blog on the main pages though. Slightly too long

I like the title for sure it is more in relation to what you are doing with your site, even though what Paul on message #1 suggested seems to make more sense and look less SEO generated :)

Keep the great job
Gustav

Yes, you should make full use of the title. You should stick to this one first and see how is the result, if the result is not as good as then change the title again.

I like new title. It really has sense and it covers two very strong keywords, and most important, it best describes topic of this blog. Cheers for Paul ;)

I like the new one too…This new title describes your blog better than the previous one. When I read to your old title, I had no idea what this blog was about. But when I read the new title, I can get your topic in within seconds.

Too late to really add my suggestion. Good move to change the title in a blog that’s about optimization (most of the time).

The best part about the new title tag is that is gives other websites a nice suggestion for anchor text.

You’ve picked some pretty tough keywords if you’ve going to try and start ranking for them. Good luck. :-)

Peter, I may not be ranking for it anytime soon, but ranking for “My Online World” really does nothing for the site. I am number one for “Link building video”…not that anyone is searching for them.

Seems to me though that you have two keywords in your title. I typically try to have only one keyword in a title. I worry having two keywords in the title will dilute my efforts.
