This new type of propeller-less windmill, the Windspire uses technology that the Egyptians used for grinding wheat over 3000 years ago.

The Windspire is manufactured by Mariah Power. I was reading their blog and see that they have a Windspire at a Vineyard in New York. I just might have to take a trip up to NY and check the Windspire out for myself.
I would love to get one of these for my house, which is on top of a hill and usually gets a pretty good breeze on most days.

I have actually bought and started using the reusable bags that you see at the grocery store. However, according to the owner of Mybarebags.com, Joyce Weand, these bags are made out of “non-woven polypropylene which is an oil-based product (more oil dependency…)” and the bags are only good for so many uses, and will not biodegrade in our lifetime.

DailyTech has a post about “60 Minutes” Catching a Tech Firm Red Handed by exporting tech garbage to China…this article really makes me think about all the computers and cell phones that I have had within the last decade…I wonder were they all are now? Sadly, it also makes me realize that my spending habits do affect others.

While we are on the environmental category of transportation, I came across an article on a cool new car that runs on air…I seriously doubt we will see these in the US anytime soon, but it looks and sounds like an interesting concept.
Lastly, Nicole, one of the top October commentators, has a post about getting Green tax breaks…she has more than a few good tax related links in this post like how to get up to $7500 towards an environmentally friendly car, so check it out.
